Andrew LeFevour is presently the Chief Criminal Deputy for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.  Andy has been a prosecutor since 1987 and has been in the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office since 1994.  Andy has worked in several different areas of the office; White Collar and Property Crimes, Violent and Gang Crimes, Environmental Crimes and Drug Crimes.  Andy has been a manager in the office for 20 years.  He has supervised the Property Crimes Team, the Gang Crime Team, and has managed the Community Prosecution Division.   Andy has had numerous jury trials and handled several high-profile cases during his career.  He has also been responsible for several initiatives that have focused on creating community outreach and helping communities address nuisance crimes.

 

Andy received a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1984 and his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in 1987.  In 1994, Andy completed an LL.M. in Environmental Law at the George Washington University National Law Center.  Andy is married, has 5 children and has one grandchild.  He and his wife, Su, live in the metro area.   

 

Hennepin County Attorney Office: Minnesota’s largest public law office, comprised of about 210 lawyers and 400 employees. This office issues 7,000 adult felony and 10,000 juvenile criminal complaints each year and provides complete civil representation to Hennepin County with its 9,000 employees and $2 billion budget.
