This December, the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club (COLRC) partnered with the Jerry Gamble Boys & Girls Club in North Minneapolis to participate in the Boys & Girls Club’s annual Holiday Celebration.  COLRC members purchased gifts that were then made available to kids participating in the Boys & Girls Club’s programs, and from which the kids selected up to four gifts to give to their family members for Christmas.  COLRC members then helped the kids select the gifts that they wanted to give and gift wrap them for the kids to then take home for their families.

COLRC is very familiar with the Jerry Gamble Boys & Girls Club through a previous donation of $30,000 and “sweat equity” to renovate two spaces in the Jerry Gamble facility dedicated specifically to literacy and education.  While COLRC has participated in similar holiday gift-giving programs in the past, this is the first year in which the club has had the opportunity to join hands with the Jerry Gamble Boys & Girls Club for such a project.
