Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club members and guests gathered at Sisyphus for “Yes, And…”, a lively evening of laughter, connection, and celebration as we kicked off our annual Rotary Foundation fundraising drive.
The evening featured BLACKOUT Improv, the Twin Cities’ first all-Black improv troupe, whose hilarious, interactive performance brought the spirit of “Yes, And…” to life. In improv, “yes, and” means building on someone else’s idea—much like Rotary, where members come together to turn ideas into meaningful action and lasting impact.
Foundation Chair Brock Ray shared the importance of supporting The Rotary Foundation, and representatives from organizations connected to our club’s service efforts highlighted the impact of that generosity. Featured organizations included WeNetworkNow, Domestic Abuse Legal Advocacy Center, and a Rotary International global grant initiative to fight malaria.
The evening was a wonderful reminder that when Rotarians say “Yes, And…” to opportunities to serve, great things happen!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped launch another year of giving and doing good in the world.
